Five Guys
117 S. Bouquet Street Pittsburgh, PA 15213

The menu consists of hamburgers, hot dogs, and fries. For hamburgers, you can select either a Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Bacon Burger, or Bacon Cheeseburger. You can also select any of the aforementioned burgers in “little” size – which is one beef patty instead of two. After that tough decision, you then have the task of selecting toppings from this list: mayo, onions, pickles, relish, lettuce, tomato, fried onions, sauteed mushrooms, ketchup, mustard, jalapenos, green peppers, A-1, barbecue sauce, and hot sauce.
After you order, you take note of the number on your receipt, grab some free peanuts (awesome!) and try to find a clean table to sit at. Though the quality and value found at Five Guys is high, the cleanliness factor is definitely lacking. After a very short wait, my number was called out and my brown paper bag of food was ready for pick-up.

Burger with cheese, lettuce, ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickle, tomato.
The burgers here are juicy, delicious, and fresh. Five Guys is the perfect place to go if you’re hungry for a burger but don’t want to pay restaurant prices.
Burger Ratings:
Burger: 8
For what it is, this burger is fucking good. It’s not the kind of burger I’d dream about when I’m hungry, but if I’m in the mood for a quick and tasty fast food burger… Five Guys fits the bill.
Side: 7
The fries are fresh (never frozen) hand-cut with some skin left on the potato. They’re fried in peanut oil and served limp rather than crisp, like your standard Boardwalk style fry. Though they are not as crispy as my ideal french fry, they are still really fucking good. The fries are sold separately, either in regular or large size, with the additional option of “Regular” or “Cajun” seasoning.
Environment: 2
This is probably the only thing I can complain about when it comes to Five Guys. Every time I have ever been inside, I’ve never sat at a clean table. There are always grease spots and crumbs (sometimes garbage) all over the tables and chairs.
