Bella’s Fat Cat is a classic “burgers and shakes” type of restaurant, also offering frozen custard, served quickly. As soon as you walk in, you check out the large, unorganized menu, and place your order. A “jumbo cheeseburger” – which is a singular “jumbo” patty – is $3.49. If that isn’t enough, you could add another patty to make it a “double jumbo” for about a dollar more. You can add french fries, onion rings, or a mix of the two for an additional $1.89. After you order, they hand you a number to place on your table, and they’ll bring the food out to you whenever it’s ready. I ordered the “jumbo cheeseburger” with ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickle with a side of french fries. It was only after I ordered that I saw that they offered a 50/50 mix of french fries and onion rings for the same price.. son of a bitch. Anyway, the food was delivered after about 5 minutes – so there wasn’t much of a wait at all.
That’s a “jumbo” burger?! Come on. This place would probably benefit a lot more if they changed the terminology of the menu board to accurately reflect that of the food. I would also suggest having a more categorized menu, so that side options are listed separated rather than a long list of fried food.

This burger was pretty bizarre. They claim the ingredients are fresh, the beef is of high quality, etc, but it just tasted.. weird. I mean, I tasted what a fast food cheeseburger typically tastes like, but it wasn’t really any different than a $0.99 cheeseburger from Burger King. The bun was much too large, and the beef patty was rendered tasteless.

The french fries here were pretty bad. They would be a little better if they seasoned them, or maybe fried them for longer. I wouldn’t order them again.

I absolutely loved the environment of Bella’s. The only thing I could complain about was the table tops – most of them were chipped at the corners and caked with dirt, but overall it was very clean, bright, and fun. The fact that everything was cat-themed made it even better.
Value: 8
The value here is pretty unreal. I purchased a cheeseburger, a veggie burger, and a side of fries for under $8. The food isn’t really that amazing, but it gets the job done.
